Calculator inputs never leave your browser

Every calculator on SalarySutra — your CTC, wages, service period, whatever you type in — is processed entirely client-side, in JavaScript running in your own browser. None of it is transmitted to, or stored on, our servers. We have no record of what you calculated, because that calculation never reaches us.

Standard server logs

Like effectively every website, our web server automatically records standard technical information for each request it receives — things like your IP address, browser/device type, the page requested, and the time of the request. This is ordinary server-log data used for security and operational purposes (for example, detecting abuse or diagnosing errors) — it is not used to build a profile of you or to track you across other sites.

Cookies

SalarySutra currently sets one cookie: a preference for light or dark theme, read and written entirely by your browser. It contains no personal data and isn't used for tracking or advertising. See the Cookie Policy for the full detail.

No analytics yet — Google Analytics (GA4) planned

We are not currently running Google Analytics or any other analytics/tracking service. We do plan to add Google Analytics (GA4) in the future to understand overall site usage. When we do, this policy will be updated first to disclose exactly what GA4 collects and how, and the Cookie Policy will list the specific cookies it sets.

We don't sell or share your data

We don't have user accounts, we don't collect the calculator inputs you enter, and we don't sell or share personal data with third parties. There's simply very little personal data in our hands to begin with.

Advertising

SalarySutra does not currently run any advertising. If display ads are added in the future, this policy and the Cookie Policy will be updated in advance to disclose what that involves.

Changes to this policy

If how we handle data changes, we'll update this page and its "last updated" date below. Material changes (like adding analytics or ads) will be called out clearly, not buried in a routine edit.
