Cookie Policy
This is deliberately short, because SalarySutra currently uses exactly one cookie.

That's it — no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party
trackers are active on SalarySutra today. The theme cookie holds only
the value "light" or "dark"; it isn't used to identify or track you, and it's set by
a click of the theme toggle in the site header, not automatically.
What will change this page
We plan to add two things in the future, neither of which is live yet:
- Google Analytics (GA4) — to understand overall site usage. This would add analytics cookies.
- Display advertising — added only once the site has real, steady traffic. Ad networks typically set their own cookies for ad delivery and, depending on the network, personalisation.
When either goes live, this page will be updated first with the specific cookies involved, and a consent mechanism will be added if required by applicable law. We won't add tracking cookies silently.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block the theme cookie at any time through your
browser's settings — the site will simply fall back to your system's light/dark
preference instead.
