SalarySutra is a free hub of client-side salary, tax, and compliance calculators built specifically for India — and specifically for the New Labour Codes, which took effect on 21 November 2025 and reshaped how wages, PF, and gratuity are calculated across the country.

Who this is for

SalarySutra is built for two audiences: salaried employees in India trying to understand how the new rules change their own payslip, and small business owners and HR/payroll teams who need to check compliance across a workforce. Every calculator is free, requires no signup, and runs entirely in your browser.

How we keep the numbers trustworthy

These calculators touch people's salary, tax, and gratuity — getting a number wrong here isn't a minor bug, it can mislead someone financially. So every formula on this site is:

• Checked against a primary or government source — the Acts themselves, Ministry of Labour & Employment FAQs, or the relevant government portal — before it's published.
• Marked with a visible "last verified" date on every calculator and post, so you know how current the figure is.
• Paired with a plain-language disclaimer wherever a number could be mistaken for professional advice. See our Disclaimer before relying on any result.
• Re-checked and updated when the underlying rules change — particularly around the Union Budget each February and whenever labour-code Central Rules are notified.

Where a rule is still genuinely unsettled — for example, parts of the labour codes' Central Rules were still pending final notification as of this writing — we say so on the page, rather than presenting a guess as settled fact.
